ARFID and Selective Eating
In this course, you will learn about selective eating behaviors and ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder). After honing in on your beliefs about picky eating, you'll get to know the definition and subtypes of ARFID. I'll then share with you what therapy methods I use when treating ARFID. You'll next receive information on the latest neuroscience behind ARFID. I will explore the environmental factors contributing to the development of ARFID, and then I outline the mental and physical health risks of ARFID. I end with advice on how to create a sensory safe space when ARFID folks eat. Plus, you'll receive two bonus videos on neurodiversity and eating disorders, as well as how to cope with sensory processing sensitivity!
